Deposit Policy

Request your date on the site — we'll review availability and email back. A small deposit via Zelle, Apple Pay, or cash locks your reservation and goes toward your charter balance. Here's exactly how it works.

Booking Deposit
50%

Always half of your reservation total — for example, $375 on a $750 weekday charter. Sent via Zelle, Apple Pay, or cash to confirm and hold your booking, then applied to your charter balance (the remaining 50%) which is due the day before your trip.

How booking works

Submit a reservation request on the site with your date, time, and route. We'll check the calendar and email you back to confirm availability — usually within a few hours. Once your reservation is confirmed, we'll provide details on how to send your 50% deposit (e.g. $375 on a $750 weekday charter) via Zelle, Apple Pay, or cash. Once we receive your deposit your booking is locked in. The deposit goes toward your charter balance, which is due the day before your trip.

Charter balance — paid the day before

For a seamless boarding experience, the charter balance is paid the day before your charter in cash, Apple Pay, or Zelle. We'll email you a reminder the day before with payment details:

  • Weekday · 4 hours — $750 total ($375 deposit + $375 balance)
  • Weekend — $750 in June (4 hrs) / $850 after June (5 hrs) (50% deposit + 50% balance)
  • Golden Hour · 5.5 hours (4pm–9:30pm) — $1,100 total ($550 deposit + $550 balance)
  • Half Day · 6 hours — $1,175 total ($587.50 deposit + $587.50 balance)

No card-on-file charge is made for the charter balance. If you'd prefer a different payment method or timing, reach out before your trip and we'll do our best to accommodate.

How the deposit works

Your deposit is always 50% of your reservation total (for example, $375 on a $750 weekday charter). It secures your date and is applied directly to your charter balance — the remaining 50% is due the day before your trip. If you don't cancel, the deposit simply reduces what you owe.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before your reservation date, the deposit is non-refundable — but you can use it to rebook a future date (subject to availability). Weather cancellations made by 206ondeck are always fully refunded.

Damage & additional charges

Your deposit isn't a damage hold — it always goes toward your charter total. Because every rental is operated by our licensed captain, accidental damage from operation is on us — not you. However, if any damage is caused by renters or their guests, additional charges may apply based on the cost of repair or replacement, billed separately from your charter total. Renter-caused issues include:

  • Damage to the boat, upholstery, accessories, or onboard equipment.
  • Excessive cleaning beyond normal wear (e.g., spills, food, sand, vomit).
  • Lost or damaged accessories: tubes, life jackets, Bluetooth speakers, etc.
  • Violating posted boat rules.

If any of the above occurs, you'll receive photos and an itemized invoice within 48–72 hours of return for the repair or replacement cost.

Alcohol on board

Alcohol is welcome aboard 206ondeck charters for guests of legal drinking age (21+). Bring your own — we'll keep it cold. Please drink responsibly: your captain reserves the right to end a charter early if guest behavior becomes unsafe, and any resulting damage or excessive cleaning falls under the deposit policy above.

Cancellations & rescheduling

  • Less than 48 hours before your reservation date: the deposit is non-refundable, but it can be applied toward a rebooked future date (subject to availability).
  • No-show: the deposit is forfeited.
  • Weather cancellations made by 206ondeck are always fully refunded.
